October News Letter

OPERATION HOPE – KUWAIT
A Mission of Mercy
October 17, 2007

Greetings!

The brand new OH website is up and running!! An enormous THANK YOU to
Denise Al Shammari for her hard work! To have a look simply go to:
www.freewebs.com/ohq8

Also, many thanks to the new OH photographers Kimberly, Lydia, Yonca,
Jennifer, Cheryl, & Mohammed for their willingness to capture on film
the essence of what we do and for whom ~ and be sure to check out our
photo gallery (on the website mentioned above) regularly as new
photo's will be added all the time!

Next week I'll be getting in touch with school owners and
administrators for permission to speak about this mission of mercy
with their students. If you would like us to visit your child's
school, please provide us with the contact details, i.e. school name,
owner/superintendent name, telephone # . The sooner I get those
contact details the sooner I can begin to make those important calls.
As I said in the last update, 'these children are tomorrow's leaders'
and it is important we encourage the spirit of community service in
our schools today.

OH – KUWAIT also has a Student Ambassador!! Her name is Emily and she
is 16 years old. She hails from Pennsylvania and moved to Kuwait with
her parents Phillip & Jaye Lynn one year ago. She will accompany me
on school visits to encourage Kuwait's youth. She is bright,
enthusiastic, and extremely charity-minded! Welcome aboard Emily!!

I was informed yesterday that our coats should arrive within the next
three days. I'll be sure to get an email out as soon as I receive
confirmation they are at the port. We will be packing 1,000 winter
bags to begin with and will require lots of hands to help…

OH – KUWAIT is in need of help to pay for much-needed tables in which
to place our goods upon when packing. The cost is KD 17 per table.
Please prayerfully consider making a contribution to cover the cost of
one or all 7 tables, as we don't use general donations towards our
overhead costs, preferring they be used specifically to help the poor.
If you feel led to help out with this need, please let us know as
soon as possible.

The late Christopher Reeve once said, "One you choose hope, anything's
possible." Let your hearts rejoice in knowing that we are going to
reach 8,000 of Kuwait's neediest by God's grace, very, very soon. It
IS possible!!!

Until the next time ~ be blessed!

Sincerely,
Sheryll Mairza
